One study found that the vast majority of individuals saw significant improvements after receiving just five sessions of facial acupuncture. It is often recommended to receive a treatment once or twice a week to see the best results. After that, it is recommended to go into what is sometimes referred to as a “maintenance stage,” where you are able to get the same (or similar) treatment every 4 to 8 weeks.

How often should you do acupuncture?

Everyone is different and our TCMD will be able to work closely with you, however, a common treatment plan would usually involve 1 or 2 treatments per week. The number of treatments will often depend on the condition that is being treated and the severity of the condition as well. It is common and recommended to receive 6 to 8 treatments overtime to achieve the best results.
